Laine x Novita Mosspath cardigan PRE-ORDER

The Laine x Novita Mosspath cardigan is a true wardrobe staple: a piece you can wear anywhere and everywhere, from casual everyday moments to more formal occasions.

The cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down, featuring a contemporary European shoulder construction and a shallow V-neckline. The button band is finished with a neat double-knitting technique, giving the garment a clean, polished edge that holds its shape beautifully.

The starting point for this design was the yarn itself: the new Laine x Novita DK, developed in collaboration with West Yorkshire Spinners. Its beautiful drape, stitch definition and tactile feel allow the simplest stockinette stitch to shine without the need for extra embellishments.

The colour is something special too: a soft blend of moss and olive green that captures everything I love about nature, from the quiet richness of a forest floor to the muted elegance of Mediterranean landscapesThe PDF pattern is delivered via email after purchase.

YARN KIT 

This kit includes the Laine x Novita DK yarn for the Mosspath cardigan in the required quantity for the size selected. I am currently working on sourcing buttons and will make these available when possible.  The pattern is available digitally from Laine Publishing.

Length from underarm to hem: 10.25” / 26 cm or as desired.

MATERIALS

Yarn: 4 (5, 5, 6, 7)  (7, 7, 8, 9) skeins of Laine x Novita DK by Novita (70% Falkland Wool, 15% Bluefaced Leicester, 15% Bluefaced Kerry Hill, 246 yds / 225 m – 100  g), colourway: 3410 Earthy Olive. Alternatively, you can use approx. 970 (1070, 1225, 1390, 1480) (1615, 1695, 1825, 2015) yds / 890 (980, 1120, 1270, 1355) (1480, 1550, 1670, 1845) m of any similar DK-weight yarn with comparable yardage.

Needles: US 6 / 4 mm circular needles for ribbing, US 7 / 4.5 mm needles for the double-knitted buttonband and US 9 / 5.5 mm circular needles for stockinette stitch.
Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle, 3 buttons.

21 sts x 32 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch on US 9 / 5.5 mm needles, after blocking.
